As you all know BHS and Steed are currently fighting a claim made by Owen, Karl and Blackpool Football Club over allegedly defamatory posts.

It has always been our position that BHS serves only as a platform to allow fans to discuss their club. Everyone is welcome here to let their feelings be known, whether that be an all too rare positive post or the natural venting of displeasure over the current turmoil BFC is in.

We have always done our utmost best to make sure any posts that are potentially libellous are removed from this site. Many of you will know that we were doing this long before Steed first received correspondence from the Oystons, as we believe that is the correct way to run a message board.

It is disappointing that despite everyone who posts on this forum knowing exactly the predicament its operator is in, the moderation team is all too often having to discuss posts on the board that concern us over their content. We want this board to be an example of the importance of free speech, something I personally believe the club have been guilty of trying to stifle in recent months. However we have had to step in and delete threads and posts because they are potentially libellous. Despite frequent warnings and polite reminders, this is a headache we continually have to deal with because of the refusal of some posters to censor themselves, leaving the moderation team to censor them instead.

There are many battles being fought against the Oystons and I for one commend anyone who is standing up, in whatever way that is. I also welcome recent posts calling for a truce to stop infighting between fans. That is why I hope everyone will accept this firm reminder that potentially libellous posts will not be tolerated, and posters will be banned from this website if they continue to wantonly put Steed in any more risk than he is already in.

What is and what is not potentially libellous is not up for debate. It will be decided by the moderation team and whilst we would never deny any poster their right to complain, we will deny you the right to negotiate our legal policy. I hope everyone can understand the circumstances we are in and why it is important for me to clarify this.

Thank you.

Bit condescending.

The reply that is, not the OP!

Excellent post.

Pity it is needed but it is an indication of where we are at. There is only one family to blame and the Family of Fans would do well to stick together. We all want the same outcome just go about it differently.

Serious question, are we allowed to use the term daddy rapist?? I'm sure someone inferred it can't be used or is that just certain people under injunctions?

This is a serious thread and not one in which to slag off fellow posters, so I have deleted a batch of posts.

Crikey, some of the things I see on BHS & my post got deleted????

A serious thread, yes it is, respected!

OP stated,

We want this board to be an example of the importance of free speech, something I personally believe the club have been guilty of trying to stifle in recent months. However we have had to step in and delete threads and posts because they are potentially libellous.

Yes I get the above but what did I say?

No worries, perhaps I missed a load of shit after my post that I'm not aware of.

Keep up the good work BHS.

illegible (to me) squiggles has an arab language web design company website listed on his profile. I wonder if by "thanks for sharing" he means Steed's code for this sites design he has somehow managed to pilfer?

Banning him for a day because it's a suspect first post. If he can tell me why Tony Green's career was derailed he can come back on.
