CHRISTMAS

On Friday 16th December, BST are holding a Christmas get together for members and their guests at the Excelsior on Lytham Rd in Blackpool, 7pm until late

This will be a great opportunity for BST members and fans of Blackpool FC to meet and socialise while at the same time raising some funds for the Boathouse Youth Charity, a charity based in the Bloomfield Ward providing much needed support for local youth.

BST have been concerned for some time about the effect that the demise of our club has had on the local community and see this as a great opportunity to put something back.

There will be a hot and cold buffet, bar, DJ, live music and a raffle. Tickets are priced at a mere £5 per head and can be ordered through our website www.blackpoolsupporterstrust.com from Monday 17th October.

BST GOLF DAY

We are delighted to announce advance details of a BST Golf Day to be held on Sunday 30th July 2017 at Green Drive Golf Club, Lytham.

We are looking for 18 teams of 4 players to take part in what we hope will become an annual event. Ex BFC players have already agreed to be involved in an exciting event which will enable us to raise funds for the Gary Parkinson Trust and Variety Children’s Charity.

The day includes:

Coffee and bacon butty at the start

Round of golf

2 course carvery in the golf club restaurant when the winning team will receive the BST Golf trophy!

Non golfers are welcome to join for the carvery only.

Further details will follow; please make sure you put this date in your diary!

If you have any queries about either of these events, please email deputychair@blackpoolsupporterstrust.com

Mate, seriously - they're promoting a social and a golf day to raise money for local charities. Pull yourself together.

If the regime decided to fold BFC tomorrow, the world wouldn't stop spinning.

No but this trust was put in place to stop this not arrange jolly boys outings ffs!

I'll arrange a cricket match over here. That'll put the wind up the Oystons!

I've more passion in my hairy arse

Maybe we should make compulsory for all committee members to wear sack cloth and ashes and self flagellate whilst the Oyston regime remain in power

In all seriousness its part of the SD Trust model that community / charitable events should be promoted

Putting on an event at a pub which will likely have been hit badly by the dip in BFC fortunes to benefit a Lytham Rd based community project ticks the boxes for me

Hope to see a few of you there

Part of the business of the Trust is to place itself at the heart of the community and win support from it. Get your head out from up your own arse and you might see it.

Three actually but I wasn't aware we were talking about attending games, not following the club any of us have since we were kids, Jezza. If I'd had the funds, I would certainly have been to many, many more games than I have.

3 games in 40 years due to lack of funds?

Is this serious where do you live new zealand

I hsed to jump over the fence at the bavk of the west when i was skint

The bleating at anything BST does is quite tiresome

I'd argue the odd get together is important - stops us from becoming completely disconnected from what knits us together now we don't attend games

You also get to know fans who've you not met before, exchange ideas and speak to those who might be able to help with initiatives

Bashing a keyboard isn't quite as productive

i think this is a great idea, helps BST get more visibility with positive press, as well as giving something back to the community, a lot more than the club does. there should be more events like this :) if i had the money to go, i dont play golf but id go.
