For christmas eve I cooked tourtière, a French pork pie. I use the recipe from my Canadian grandma. She was from Montreal and in my childhood we used to spend winter holidays at hers (more on the area for example here https://tranio.com/canada/quebec/montreal/ . Grandma’s tips of the pie were thyme, pepper, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Flavourfull and yummy! My family likes it especially with mustard or tomato ketchup.

From Wikipedia:

Tomato sauce is the more common term in Australia, New Zealand, and India, and is almost exclusively used in South Africa.

~~~
Most places use the combination tomato ketchup, tomato sauce makes me think of bolognese/meatballs/etc.
Personal preference for a pork pie condiment has to be mustard though.
Agree with Jezza. That or piccalilli.
Mustard for pork but it's too much for a seasoned pork pie.
Incidentally, these are my pies of choice. Apparently Booths stock them. Pork and Stilton ones are amazing.
Had a look at their website. Looks like a proper butcher. I'm lucky that I've got an excellent one near me. They're not cheap but you can really taste the difference in the meat.
Stan Chadwick (who's my normal guy in there) is the guy they consulted on the Sweeney Todd film with Johnny Depp! Apparently he taught him how to butcher a cow.
