Just starting a career with Blackpool and the chairman status is 'loves the club'. I want a refund.

We will have a new chairman in 2018, so it will be correct soon

Funnily enough I'm in November in my game and the Chairman is looking to sell!

The 'loves the club' setting is a workaround setting, it's basically set for any club where the owner probably won't leave. It was appropriate until a couple of weeks ago

What system you using in your Blackpool save, seasider?

Football Manager Touch on Android Tablet. Just played my first game and lost 4-3 to Bradford. Cullen seems to be the best striker.

I meant system as in formation lol.

Yeah Cullen is the top scorer for me so far. I have him on the left in a narrow 4-3-3.

4-3-3 similar to Holloway.

Alsopp

Mellor

Taylor

Tilt

Robertson

Spearing

Ryan

Longstaff

Clayton

Cullen

Victor

Still working out who is better. If get off to a bad start, will probably switch to 4-4-2 with Vassell and Cullen upfront.
RE: Football Manager 2018

Aimson better than Tilt in the game imo.

Changed to a 4-4-2 and moving up the league. Currently 9th and seven match unbeaten run.

Club losing a lot of money each week.

Yeah they definitely are. I'm up to the end of November and the club is £3mill in debt overall. Unfortunately the proposed takeover by an Iranian tycoon didn't happen as they couldn't agree on a valuation of the club.

In other news, I'm looking to bring in Sully Muntari on a free!

I can’t play Football Manager these days. Far too risky.

I’ve tried looking for Football Manager Touch earlier today as seasider says that’s the app he uses, but, I cant find it in the App Store. (Apple)

As a recovering manager, I’m not really comfortable sharing this but I do understand the urge.

Thanks for the share Munk, but, am I reading correct that it’s £19.99?

Yes, not played if for years but thought I would treat myself. Not sure if it will be worth 20 quid or not in the long run but enjoying it. Bit of a novelty playing it on a tablet rather than PC.

I remember when people used to “jail break” their iPhones, is this still a trend?

I’ve not heard the phrase mentioned for years.

God knows. I think it is.

Anyway, 5th from the top after 16 games. I am going to get a stand named after me at this rate.

I don't know how good the mobile versions are but the value for money for PC is just insane. I just checked and some quick stats from the 2014 version, the average player clocks 150 hours. That is just ridiculous, the average player. That's more than double the next game which has most hours played (talking Steam games, so pretty much all PC games).

You can usually pick one up for 25, 30 quid. To put it in to context, if they charged the 'going rate' for £ per hour of game play, FM games should cost, what...£150? £250?

(No, I haven't bought the new one yet...but I have a week off work next week).

I may get the new one for the Xmas period and then never play it again after January.

Sounds like a plan.

You might be able to get stuck into Football Manager 2037 once the kids are all grown up and at university.

I have it on my tablet whilst I am working - need to stop that!

I've hit poor form now and down to mid table. Very inconsistent!

I fear for next season with all the contracts up and my poor wage budget.

ha. I am having a break as I am not sure where I can go with this Blackpool team as I won't have a budget for next year due to the debt. At least I know how Bowyer feels now.

Did you pay agent fees?

How about player bonuses?

Charlee Adam won, Tom Ince lost, I bet the game makers never expected that scenario when making the game?
