“A lot of players only came to the football club because of Gary... as did I”

Admire the honesty but you would have some thought he would have tried to put a positive spin on it :D

Couldn't imagine anyone ever coming here for the wage, training ground the fans and the owner could you...

Well if they came to the club because of GB, then he has a hell of job on his hands now to motivate them.

Just concluded today's press conference with Terry McPhillips. When asked if he wants the vacant manager's job, he said: "I'm Gary's number two".

Sounds like he should have resigned with Gary!

He may have felt a sense of obligation to the players that came because of GB. From the inflection of his comments it would seem to me he and GB would have discussed it.

This Club destroys careers and lives. Its all just so sad and unreal.

Exactly. He will carry on for the sake of the players but will rejoin Gary at the first opportunity. It's a sad state of affairs when even the assistant doesn't want the job!

Great to see that the premier legacy is working.

Spearing has been open and honest which is to his credit. What a joke of a club.

Spearing said: “We could go on and on and name names, but we haven’t got a training ground. We’re training at Fulwood Amateurs and we’re getting texts each day telling us where we’re going to be.

“Squires Gate at the minute is probably looking like the Sahara desert, it’s not looking great and it’s got weeds everywhere. Some of the lads and staff have been down and it’s not trainable. So we’re having to look for places to train.

“It’s a good job we’ve got a good set of lads here who can adapt and get on with it. All we want to do at the end of the day is play football.

“The first I heard was when I was cooking the kids’ tea. The phone went and it was the gaffer.

“I answered the phone and asked if everything was alright. He said ‘no, I’ve had to resign’. He gave me the reasons but I’m not going to put them out there.

“But I was devastated. Not just me, but every lad in there who has come in this summer and even before are all devastated. We didn’t expect it.

“He was fantastic while he was here and what he did for the club, inside and out of it, was brilliant. All we can do is thank him.

And yet the Rapist will still think he is a good owner. Deluded to say the least.

Deluded has to be the only word to describe him. Although I can think of many others words to use.

Probably the last well see of Jay.

How dare he??

Seriously, what an indictment on the way to run a football club. Players deserve more.

Might be a stupid question, with all that's going and gone on, but what does Oyston really want out of all this?

I know we've probably been over this a thousand times already but... If Owen sold the club could the new owner then recall loans on behalf of BFC (money that's not included in the 32mil the court concluded he took out)?

Apologies if I'm being dumb.
