‍We go again. going for a 2 nil win. Bradford city back from the dead. Hopefully 2000 city fans

Can't be worse than last time

2-1 Blackpool.

Hopkin isn’t a miracle worker in 4 days.

Heavy defeat unfortunately.

Rome and all that.

Reality could bite home!

Their forum looks terrible, made it difficult to read, gave up after the first post. (relation to avftt)

Sorry Blackpool, but we’re not anywhere near up the shitcreek as you are with your owners, nor do we need your support or backing.
Blackpool just want somebody else in the same position to make them feel a bit better about their own dire situation. We are finally making positive steps in sacking Collins and hiring Hopkin.
Let’s kick start our season now, albeit a bit later than ideal, and not look back or seek sympathy from the Seasiders.

Im at peace with our owners, and feel we are about to embark on one of those Bradford City rollercoaster journeys of which we primerily follow our club .. lets get behind DH the team and our club and let tinpot Blackpool do what tinpot Blackpool will ....CTID

Not sure the Blackpool fixture would have brought out the fans in numbers after what we have seen so far this season, but even though it's forecast a poor day weather wise, I think it will be another encouraging turn out by the Bradford boys....................and girls with the resent appointment of Dave Hopkin.
A win would give the fans and the club the momentum to take 3 points from the Charlton game they are in a worse state than we were with regards their fans and there opinions of the people running their club.

Bradford are there for the taking. I agree with comment on AVFTT, it's shockingly outdated.

‍Given the average age of an AVFTT user is about 60, I'd say its best to keep it simple.

‍Bradford fans have always been wankers. They probably feel hard done to supporting the shitest club in Yorkshire.

They need to fuck off back to the bottom division and realise their place.

Spot on by Ben. That is what you get when an asset stripping owners rips the money and soul out of the place. Really annoyed that screwfix had an advert up !

‍It's fucked up that even visiting fans experience is ruined by the state of our affairs.

The Cops are clearly bored at this point.

Obviously Clifton meats didn’t pay for their advertising before they went bust .

‍Bradford Post Match Comments:

Weigh this up. We've played shit (as we have in every game so far) but we've mustered one shot on goal in open play and one penalty and somehow managed to shithouse our way to a 2-0 lead against a poor but superior Blackpool side.

Tbf, Blackpool deserved it. We got two goals from nowhere and apart from that we were shit.

Mellor lumbers around like Mr Blobby. Thought Wood actually looked OK, some decent challenges in.

Three at the back simply doesn't work, Blackpool could have driven a bus down our right side.

Very flukey lead we had, few individual mistakes undoes all that in minutes. Given how the first half went the result can’t be a surprise to anybody.

Mellor is particularly shite. Wood, a young kid who’s barely played in a first team looked far more steady. Ball needs to start next game.

Fucking hell can we get any worse. That should have been 8-3. We were outplayed for most of that match. How we got away with a two goal lead is unbelievable.

Blackpool in minor disarray themselves for years let's not forget, manager left after first game of season, still have a temporary manager in charge. What a laugh.

We really are fucking woeful, there isn't any part of that team that was even close to a very average Blackpool side yesterday, bar our keeper until his two brain farts. Even at the worst under Parky and NcCall it wasn't as bad as this.

Thoughts on Blackpool? Well it's a shit hole. And their curry sauce on chips is not good. :-(

Bit dramatic all this 'falling apart' nonsense.

The lads have put in a shift today. Unfortunately two penalties conceded and our keeper who's probably been our best player this season.makes a mistake.

We scored two goals from nowhere and apart from that we were shit. Blackpool were bang average, a club shrouded in crisis, we got 2 goals from nowhere and we still couldn't beat them.

Bang on. We were given a good kicking today, could have easily finished 7 or 8-3. Hopkin has one hell of a job on with the squad available.

One of the biggest letdowns for me so far is Mellor. I thought he was a good signing but he has been terrible so far and was again today.

It was nothing more than Blackpool deserved, in truth we looked no different to the rubbish under Collins, a decent 5 to 10 minute spell cannot disguise the fact this is a really poor side. Defensively awful and little creativity for what would be a decent strike partnership in Doyle and Ball. Give us a bit of class in midfield like Blackpool had with Jake Spearing and we might have a chance of at least finishing somewhere around mid table. As it stands this squad is relegation material.

Blackpool were a poor side in my opinion and were there for taking

And yet today for most of the game Blackpool looked a level above us in passing and movement. I agree they didn’t look a particularly good team but they were very good value for their win.

In reality we probably got what we deserved as Blackpool were far more dangerous on the ball than we were. They played some neat stuff and have some tricky players who we just couldn't cope with.

Jake Spearing ran the show in midfield, in fact they were better all over the pitch.

The two goals today did not cover up the fact that Blackpool led us a merry dance for most of the game and it would have been a travesty if they had not got at least a draw although the win was a fair reflection.

Mellor looks a very poor replacement for McMahon

Look at today and wonder..........both clubs are under chaotic ownership, but our very good L1 side lost v Millwall at Wembley as Blackpool came up v Wembley in the same season. Look at out respective teams now, it's damning, they've gone forwards despite their ownership and we've gone backwards, way backwards. Rahic out.

9 times out of 10 the ball was dealt with by the big CDs of Blackpool Tilt making defending look easy.

The goals papered over the cracks. The penalty was the first shot on target. The Payne goal was a good finish, apart from that the only save the keeper made was from Balls shot in the second half. Contrast that with Blackpool, a team with a lot more problems than we have and a new manager a game into the season. Save for last ditch blocks and very good 84 minutes from O’Donnell, Blackpool could have had 7 or 8.
