‍Some of you might have already noticed but Steed has tweaked the look on the desktop view so people using tablets and laptops will see the improvements. No changes have been made on the mobile view.

This new release mainly includes back end work but from a user perspective, these are the changes you will see:

- Grey background on the thread view page to make the thread titles stand out more.

- Grey background added to the post view page to make the posts stand out more. The text has also been aligned to the left which will make adding new features on the right hand side easier to deploy.

I might be biased but I think it's a massive improvement!

‍Just logged in on desktop for the first time in ages and it's definitely an improvement.

‍Good to get feedback. There will be stuff on the right hand side eventually which will also help fill the space.

I only access via a laptop and I hadn't noticed any difference. The reason I have hardly posted recently, is that I still don't like the desktop version.

‍Would you mind expanding on that Louise just so we can take in the feedback. I know Internet Explorer gets harder to support as it's an old browser but it should look the same as modern ones but without the functionality.

it may be just me, but there seems to be so little on each page , most of the screen appears to be unused and so you have to do lots of scrolling to read a thread
It doesn't look any different on other browsers like google chrome
interestly I have just brought it up on my phone, just a Samsung , nothing special, and a screen holds 3 and a bit posts, on my laptop looking at the same posts, I can only see 2.

‍The mobile version is obviously designed for mobiles but I know what you mean about the posts per page on the desktop. We will discuss.

I’ve given up trying to get the new format on my tablet.

‍How come? Same reason or other issue?

‍I find it great on the tablet (Lenovo Tab 10 inch) as can see lots of posts when in vertical mode...

In landscape (similar to desktop) obviously not as much but still fine for tablet

‍I think it's only fair to point out that most modern forums only have 3 posts per page. I have checked a lot of otber clubs and it's varies between 2 and 4. Everything is designed for touch these days but I do actually agree with you, I would prefer a slightly more compact view on the desktop.

‍I think we have been through this before haven't we? Have you tried all browsers and cleared your cache/history in your browser settings?

Yep! Done absolutely everything. Just won’t load. Everything else , I don’t have a problem with. Just means I use my phone to view .

‍try just backhenrystreet.co.uk without the other stuff in the address bar.

Steed might be able to help now you've sent a screenshot.

He suggested that last time, same thing happened.

‍I presume you don't have anti virus on your tablet? Avast is bad for that.

Do you connect from phone using the same Wi-Fi as tablet or use 4g?

Maybe try re-installing whatever browser as well

‍same WiFi. I don’t think there’s avast installe

‍connects to everything else.

‍I have tried googling it Jezza and getting so many different answers so difficult to pinpoint.

I was on the android forum and there were a few comments on there saying the stock android browser is not supported anymore as Android now uses Chrome. You say you have tried the latest Firefox and Chrome so obviously not that.

Just going on that screenshot, the URL is wrong so making sure type new one in manually or update the bookmark.

Sorry if that sounds all rather basic and patronising - just trying to help!

‍Could you try it now Jezza? Tried adding something to take in to account missing script files.

Problems with mine now.

I keep coming on here for the witty banter but all I'm getting is this boring thread.

‍Sorry Magic. Just have to get what feedback we can!
