Blackpool v Peterborough United

League One
Sat 13th Apr 2019 - KO 15:00
Bloomfield Road

Blackpool have lost just one of their last five home league games against Peterborough (W3 D1), a 0-1 loss in March 2013.

Each of the last two league contests between Blackpool and Peterborough have finished level; they had only drawn one of their last 15 such encounters before this.

Blackpool have won just one of their last nine league games at Bloomfield Road (D5 L3), including a current winless run of four (D3 L1).

Team News

Blackpool full-back Oliver Turton is expected to retain his place against Peterborough.

Turton was sidelined with a hamstring problem but, having returned from a four-game injury lay-off against Luton last weekend, the 26-year-old is hopeful he has fully recovered. On-loan Crystal Palace midfielder Nya Kirby will hope to keep his spot after scoring against Luton in only his second Seasiders start since joining in January.

Goalkeeper Mark Howard has already been ruled out for the season after rupturing his Achilles and manager Terry McPhillips will hope third-choice keeper Myles Boney has recovered from a knock, as he was unable to name a substitute shot-stopper on the bench last weekend

Peterborough winger Joe Ward is set to return to the squad after missing the victory over Gillingham due to a family illness. The 23-year-old has trained this week and so has Ivan Toney, who is expected to be fit to feature following a groin injury.

On-loan Brighton defender Ben White is set to make his return from an ankle problem, having not featured since the win against Southend on March 23. Posh are looking for a third successive win to keep up their bid for a League One play-off place.

Manager's Thoughts

Pool 3 - 1 Posh

Think a 1-1 draw.

3-3 draw.

To follow on from the previous 2-2 and1-1 .

0-2. Similar pattern to previous games but this time our luck will run out. Positive hey.

On the 15th minute, there will be a rendition of Billy Ayre's Tangerine Army.

Can't see TM making any changes today and same team as Luton. Not sure if Turton started against Luton but he could replace Nottingham.

Maybe Dodoo for Feeney to try something different. Depends if want some pace or quality crossing.

I still don't know who most of them are, it'll take a while to get back into it I think.
I'm going for a 2-1 win. 😃
1-1 home draw banker

Final pass is dog shite

Terrible goal to concede. Mistake by defender.

Fans saying handball but didn't see it.

The club have fucked up massively moving the away fans.

It’s the first bad decision they’ve made.

Was defo handball knew they were going to score from it

Dog shit first half - no quality whatsoever

Smoke bombs in the concourse

Season over.

First thing I said after ref let them play on was “watch them score now”
Need to give the second half a go now
WBA 3-0 Nobbers. Lovely
They look like scoring every time. They will get a second soon.
I’ll be amazed if this ends up 2-2.
Second half has been so poor. Daylight robbery if we get anything.
Well that was shit. Going to be hard to review that without slitting my wrist.
I sometimes like to masterbate in the garden wearing just my socks, god knows what the neighbours think?
