Coventry City v Blackpool

League One
Sat 7th Sep 2019 - KO 15:00
Ricoh Arena

Team News:

Nathan Delfouneso looks set to provide a timely boost by returning from the hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for the last three matches, while a number of other players are pushing for league starts after performing well in the Leasing.com Trophy on Tuesday night. Jordan Thompson and Rocky Bushiri miss out due to international commitments.

Coventry's deadline day signings Tennai Watson and Liam Walsh could make their first appearances for Mark Robins' side, however Jamie Allen and Callum O'Hare are expected to miss out.

Previous Meeting:

Nathan Delfouneso and Armand Gnanduillet were both on target in a 2-0 victory when the two teams last met, which was in January at the Ricoh Arena. That result ensured that the Seasiders completed the league double against the hosts.

The Manager's Thoughts:

The Referee:

Paul Marsden will have the whistle for the match, having refereed five games already this season.

This will be the first ever Blackpool game he has officiated, though.

Tickets

More than 500 advance tickets for the match were snapped up by Blackpool fans, though supporters can still pay on the day.

All match discussion here...

**Obviously the game will be played at St.Andrews and not the Ricoh Arena as per the live score header!

Just to note... anyone who’s going to the game by train it looks like there are match day services to Bordesley. St Andrews is a 5/10 min walk from Bordesley opposed to about an hour from Moor St/New St!

Remember going to Birmingham away in the Prem. Had to get a taxi from the train station.

Biggest test yet? Can't see Larry changing anything whilst we are undefeated although it is three games without winning.
Jordan Thompson playing for Northern Ireland so obviously he isn't available on Saturday. Bit of a blow that.
We’re driving down and will probably park around Garrison RD area. We’ll also get a photo by the Peaky Blinders pub!
Thread updated with team news from the official site.

Bit worried about being without Thompson, but I’d say we’ve also missed the Fonz the last few games.

Toughest team we’ll face so far.

Reckon Grayson will go with this...

-------------------Alnwick-----------------

--------Turton - Edwards - Tilt---------

Feeney----Spearing--Guy--Husband

-------------------Kaikai-------------------

----------Nuttall----Gnanduillet--------

I’d go with the same except for Virtue instead of Nuttall to strengthen the midfield?

I like Nuttall but not sure both him and Gnanduillet was working too well last game.

Or Fonz if he’s ready. Both an issue of fitness. At least we know Nuttall is fit and can track back.

Nuttall is a fucking striker, if he’s tracking back then things aren’t going to plan mate.

If you arrive at the Garrison circus (the roundabout) on the ring road, and go straight across heading for Birmingham just passed the roundabout (50) yrds is ST Andrews road on your left, turn into it an just passed the garage take a right, it is a dead end but have always found a place to park along that road.

Unfortunately I’ve seen him have to do it in each of his league appearances for us so far.

We need to try and stay on top more tomorrow.

Knowing Grayson, he will probably move Turton to midfield and bring in Heneghan. Would rather Virtue or Guy in that particular role.

Head to Head stats for today’s game are now up on our twitter page:

Good benchmark to see where we are at. They are bang in form.
Seddon on Sky Sports News. Talking about bad owners.

Good start

Amazing...missed it trying to find a stream but found a foreign one...

Sounds like there first touch was the keeper picking the ball out the back of the net.

Away fans in good voice.

Just tuned in.  Seems Birmingham has more sun than Bratislava today !
Coventry score but thankfully offside.  My stream is good but commentary’s a good 7 seconds behind
Cut us open then. Lucky disallowed offside goal.
Good chance for Nuttall but drags his shot wide. Disappointing finish.

you got a good link Seasider?

IPTV so paid service. Lucky to get one. Struggling to watch it though as on my own with 9 month baby.
Coventry look dangerous going forward. All them at the minute.
Sounds like Cov on top now on TS2
