So after the ITV debate, are you any clearer as to who you will vote for? Votes are confidential.
Boris. 👍
I am not happy with Boris. Just been fucked by the tax man for a £387 child benefit high earners charge. Didn't even know it existed! In 2016 I earned over 50k due to a large bonus but I am nowhere near that usually. How is it fair that a couple maybe earning 40k each do not have to pay this where as I have to and our joint income is miles off that as wife is part time. Totally unfair! Anyway rant over.
Are any of 'em worth the effort?
Labours manifesto looks pretty decent to me.
Conservatives for me. 👍

I like the childcare policy. Will encourage people to work because at the moment the cost of nursery fees make work out pretty similar for someone on a low wage.

Was one year due to bonus. Mrs is on around 15 so modest living! I drive a Vauxhall!

Not really sure of thinking behind voting leave because you’re on a low wage?

Brexit will probably benefit me (already has) but I voted remain because of how much it’s going to shaft the less fortunate.

This fella likes it as well....

And here's me thinking the less fortunate had already been shafted.

That’s what happens when they keep believing right wing government wants to help them.
Just read the Labour Manifesto highlights and some good stuff. Not sure Corporation Tax would cover all that! Plus won't it encourage companies to move elsewhere?

It doesn’t say everything is going to be covered by corporation tax. There’s also higher taxes for high earners and a raise in other taxes.

Also, we currently have one of the lowest corporation taxes in Europe, so where are they going to go?

Probably Ireland where I believe it is 12.5%

So why aren't they already there?

It's a bullshit argument.
Brexit Party want to abolish inheritance tax, which will benefit those with estates worth more than £1million...

They get Heros vote then I assume 😉

So why aren't they already there?

Lots of them already are there.  The Irish government is quite bullish about how many large corporations they have attracted over the last couple of years.  Give those based in the UK a reason to go and they will, that is the downside of the global economy.

Same applies to people with money they are generally very mobile give them a reason to move somewhere else and they will.

In both cases you then don't only lose the additional taxes you hoped for you also lose those that you were already getting.
Just watching QT and Corbyn answered well so credit where due.

Surprising how many people purchased houses cheaply that are now valued very highly, especially in those areas that are considered to be more 'respectable'. It may benefit more people than you think.

What a speech this is. JC really is stepping up.

Baffling to see people on social media moaning about being taxed more under a labour government, when changes only affect the top 5% of earners in the country.

Only starts if you earn 80k and up, so if you earn 85k - for example - you'll be paying an extra fiver a week: https://calculate.forlabour.com

I'm not really a Corbyn fan, I'd hoped we'd have a stronger leader in by now; but voting Labour. I could never, ever, ever vote for the Tories being from Lancashire. I'm now living in a city, on a decent wage and doing a job I love in the music industry - pretty firmly middle class now, but still think upholding and saving the NHS is imperative and, essentially, given the bile they're being fed by the right-wing press I believe working class / low earning folk are voting to shaft themselves if they're going Tory.

Stand very much on the Labour side of things when it comes to the environment too, especially on fracking. The Tories will inevitably u-turn on the fracking halt if they get in power, too much money coming in from lobbyists.

labour since the leaked memo that boris is selling the nhs to trump and his lackeys to privatise it which will kill so many people.
not to mention the illegal and trumpish corrupt "factcheckuk" twuitter they made to spread disinformation and outright lies
