Prepared to give him a clean slate and get behind the team.
Yes, he went to Preston, but so did Brett. Some might say he didn't leave on great terms, but he left to manage his boyhood team and, as we're all well aware, it can't be easy working under the Oystons. Then there's the Preston celebration; I'm not actually that fussed about that, if you're a manager you want your team to win and although it was probably over the top I'd be all for it if it was the other way around. He might have been getting hurlers from our fans, too (à la Mellon with Burnley).
I was willing to get behind McPhillips and give him the benefit of the doubt, but much happier with an experienced manager at the helm.
The majority of fans are probably decent.
Yep; I saw that a group of their fans had raised nearly a grand and supplied a further £900 in food vouchers so far for the non-footballing staff who are probably on minimum wage / zero-hour contracts and aren't getting paid.
Of course there was a group of idiots (every fan base has them) laughing at our plight, and it's lesson hard-learned for them, but there's something endemically wrong in the business of football and Bury are yet another example of it. This transcends a small group of them slagging us off, I feel for the fans...
Second one aired last night, I've got it recorded after watching the first last week - gripping stuff.
I'm reading 'Chernobyl Prayer', by Nobel Laureate Svetlana Alexievich, alongside watching the series; lots of first-hand accounts and monologues in there, some of which are harrowing. I'd really recommend if you're enjoying the series / have the stomach for that sort of stuff.
I'd have kept Long.
I'm still 50-50 on Daniels from the handful of times I have seen him, so not overly fussed with his departure; I could see why some might have retained him, though. Especially given there'll be a few eyes on Tilt this transfer window...

Looks like they've tried to emulate the adidas logo's typeface, right down to the fact 'adidas' is never capitalised...
